Galen College of Nursing is authorized to legally appoint representatives to solicit students in the State of West Virginia.

Authorization for Distance Education

Because distance education authorization requirements vary, Galen’s programs may not be available in all states. In order to enroll and continue enrollment, students in all programs must remain a resident of a state in which Galen has all necessary approvals. This information is current at the time of publication.

Galen College of Nursing participates in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.

Complaints

All students are encouraged to first attempt to resolve complaints following Galen’s Resolution of Grievances Policy, published in the Student Catalog.

If an issue cannot be resolved internally, students in the Online MSN Program or Online RN to BSN Program may file a complaint with Kentucky’s portal agency for NC-SARA, the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE).

Galen College of Nursing (Galen) is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, master’s, and doctorate degrees. Galen also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. Questions about the accreditation of Galen may be directed in writing to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, GA 30033-4097, by calling (404) 679-4500, or by using information available on SACSCOC’s website (www.sacscoc.org).

Galen consists of a Main Campus located in Kentucky and off-campus instructional sites in Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. Branch campus accreditation is dependent upon the continued accreditation of the Main Campus.

The Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA) requires that postsecondary institutions participating in federal student aid programs make certain disclosures to enrolled and prospective students, parents, employees, and the public.  Galen makes this information available to you online at https://galencollege.edu/consumer-disclosures/.
