NURSING Program Overview

Galen’s prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is designed to prepare students to sit for the NCLEX-RN in as few as 3 years or less depending on transfer credits. Pre-requisites are included in the curriculum and previous credits will be considered for transfer. Galen teaches coursework with an emphasis on hands-on learning which helps prepare graduates to be skilled, knowledgeable, and confident nurses.

Upon completion of the BSN degree program, our students will be well-prepared to sit for the NCLEX-RN® licensure exam. In fact, we have 90% NCLEX pass rates combined across our campuses.

Galen’s requirements for clinical experiences are similar to those you will encounter in your professional nursing career. All requirements are designed to ensure continuity of patient care, as well as to protect students, healthcare providers, and patients from the manifestation and spread of diseases.

In the evaluation of transfer credit, Galen utilizes TES®, the Transfer Evaluation System from CollegeSource which is the premier interactive database of course data from institutions of higher education to track and display previously approved courses for transfer. The equivalencies shown are for information purposes only and are subject to change due to changes in curriculum. Galen does not transfer in developmental, pre-licensure, or nursing courses taken prior to achieving an RN license.
