Step 1: Submit an Application.
The first step to admission is to fill out our online application by clicking here.
Step 2: Schedule and Take the National League of Nursing Pre-Admission Examination (NLN PAX), if applicable.
Students entering the ADN program will take the PAX RN. If you’ve taken this test within the last five years, you might be exempt from testing for Galen. Again, ask your Galen Admission Specialist for details.
Step 3: Complete FAFSA and Submit Paperwork
If you plan to finance your education and haven’t completed a FAFSA application, now’s the time. In addition, you’ll have to provide proof of high school graduation or GED as well as college transcripts or nursing license (depending on your program)
Nursing is a highly rewarding, fulfilling career. Nurses are in the unique position to work independently, while also collaborating as part of a team to provide the highest level of care for their patients. They work closely with patients and patients’ to create personalized care plans while helping them cope with illness. In addition, job opportunities for nurses are plentiful and salaries are competitive.
Galen College of Nursing (Galen) is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, and master’s degrees. Galen consists of a Main Campus located in Kentucky and off-campus instructional sites in Florida, Kansas, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. Branch campus accreditation is dependent upon the continued accreditation of the Main Campus.
