Galen College Honored with City Proclamation in Miramar

Galen College of Nursing’s Miami campus is already making waves throughout South Florida.

Framed proclamation from the City of Miramar recognizing “Galen College of Nursing Day” on April 23, 2026. In recognition of the campus’ latest graduating class, and in celebration of nursing professionalism and dedicated service to the community, April 23, 2026, was officially proclaimed “Galen College of Nursing Day” in the City of Miramar.

The proclamation was presented by Commissioner Maxwell B. Chambers during the college’s 16th commencement ceremony, marking a significant milestone for the Miami campus and honoring its growing impact within the community.

“This recognition speaks directly to the hard work of our students and faculty, and our shared mission to elevate healthcare education. Galen is proud of this recognition, and we remain dedicated to serving this community by graduating compassionate, highly skilled nursing professionals,” said Consuelo Nelson, the dean of Galen’s Miami campus.

This recognition reflects the college’s commitment to preparing compassionate, highly skilled nurses and underscores the vital role its graduates play in advancing healthcare and serving the South Florida community.
