Galen and its individual programs have met the educational standards for approval, authorization, or licensure from the following state agencies.

Study Online: Authorization for Distance Education

Because distance education authorization requirements vary, Galen’s programs may not be available in all states. In order to enroll and continue enrollment, students in all programs must remain a resident of a state in which Galen has all necessary approvals. Complaints

SARA Complaint Resolution Policies and Procedures

Students must first seek to resolve any complaint by following Galen’s Resolution of Grievances Policy outlined in the Student Catalog.

If a complaint cannot be resolved internally excluding complaints related to grades or student conduct violations, students enrolled in Galen’s online RN to BSN, MSN, or DNP programs may submit an appeal within two years of the incident to:

The SARA State Portal Entity of the state in which the student was located at the time of the incident.

When a SARA State Portal Entity receives an appeal, it will notify Kentucky’s NC‑SARA portal agency (CPE). The final resolution issued by the institution’s home-state SARA State Portal Entity through its SARA complaint resolution process is considered final, except where the following applies:

Nothing in the SARA Policy Manual precludes a state from applying its generally applicable laws to pursue action against an institution that violates those laws.

Following review, the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) will communicate its final resolution to:

the student, and
the SARA State Portal Entity for the state where the student was located at the time of the incident (if known).
