Regional Accreditation

Galen College of Nursing (Galen) is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, master’s, and doctorate degrees. Galen also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. Galen consists of a Main Campus located in Kentucky and off-campus instructional sites in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. Branch campus accreditation is dependent upon the continued accreditation of the Main Campus.

Galen College of Nursing’s (Galen’s) ADN Program at the Savannah Campus does not have National Nursing Accreditation at this time. Galen is in the process of applying for candidacy with the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), a National Nursing Accreditation agency. Upon granting of candidacy, the effective date of initial accreditation for the ADN Program will be the date the candidacy was awarded by the ACEN.
