With that mission in mind, Galen is thrilled to announce a major upgrade arriving later this year: brand-new, high-quality scrubs for all campuses!

The inspiration for this exciting shift came directly from the people who wear the uniforms day in and day out. Galen leadership launched an extensive review process after listening closely to feedback from current students and faculty who expressed a need for better comfort, fit, and daily functionality.

The result? A premium, modernized uniform designed to support the rigors of a fast-paced nursing education and demanding clinical environments.

The new Galen scrubs move away from traditional, rigid fabrics to offer a modern apparel experience. Crafted from a premium 93% polyester and 7% spandex blend, the new uniforms provide:

Transitioning thousands of future nurses to a new look is a massive undertaking, which is why Galen is introducing the new uniforms in a phased rollout starting this summer:

New scrubs will debut at our Mid-America campuses.
Louisville, Hazard, Pikeville, Cincinnati, and Nashville. They will go on sale for these campuses beginning July 6.

New scrubs will launch and go on sale at all other Galen campuses nationwide.

Galen understands that uniform updates represent a shift in routine and expense. To ensure a smooth, stress-free transition for current students, a generous grace period has been established.

Students may continue wearing their current ceil blue scrubs throughout the remainder of the year and into early 2027. The new navy scrubs will not become fully mandatory until the start of the April 2027 term, giving everyone ample time to make the switch.
