Las Vegas Campus General Admissions Requirements

To enroll in any of our nursing programs, you must be:

  • A high school graduate (or hold a General Education Development (GED) diploma or another recognized high school equivalency)
  • Able to communicate effectively in English

Tuition, fees, and additional admission requirements vary by program. Review these details for your program and then contact our admissions team with any questions.

3-Year Bachelor of Science in Nursing: Tuition & Admission

Potential career outcomes:

  • Start your nursing career with a bachelor’s degree
  • Become a registered nurse
  • Position yourself to work with a variety of healthcare settings
  • Be considered to advance your career
  • Prepare yourself to earn a graduate degree in the future

Tuition for Galen’s BSN program is based on a per credit hour model:

  • $430 per quarter credit hour for general education courses
  • $515 per quarter credit hour for nursing education courses

Tuition Calculations

Many people find it helpful to calculate their tuition and fees quarter by quarter. Since the course distribution and course loads change each quarter, this gives you a more accurate prediction of your program costs.

To estimate total tuition for the program, multiply the quarter credit hours of each category by the total credits the program requires in each:

  • General education courses: 68 quarter credit hours
  • Nursing courses: 92 quarter credit hours

Your costs may be lower if you transfer in credits or receive scholarships, grants, or reimbursement from your employer. Review your financial aid options if you haven’t already done so. You can calculate either quarterly or total tuition and fees based on the BSN curriculum or the current catalog.

Program Fees

Additional fees are charged based on your enrollment:

  • 10 lab courses at $50 per course per term
  • 9 clinical courses at $125 per course per term
  • $105 per online course per term
  • $75 resource fee per term

Again, you may find it more helpful to look quarter-by-quarter to calculate your upcoming expenses.

Additional Fees

These fees are charged once per degree/program enrollment:

  • $100 background fee, due after acceptance and paid during the enrollment appointment
  • $100 registration fee, due after acceptance and paid during the enrollment appointment
  • $250 uniform and supplies (estimated): requires purchase of leather shoes, wristwatch with a second hand, stethoscope, penlight, bandage scissors, blood pressure cuff, CPR certification, and uniforms

Additional Costs

When budgeting for your education, add an estimated $3,600 total for books plus your living expenses (like costs for housing, food, transportation, etc.). Remember, this is a full-time program. Most students are more successful if they devote themselves full-time to the program.

You will need a physical exam and required immunizations; the cost for these will vary depending on your health insurance.

Cost of Attendance

  • 2025-2026 Cost of Attendance (PDF)
  • 2024-2025 Cost of Attendance (PDF)

The COA is an estimate of both direct and indirect expenses that may be incurred by attending a program, including tuition and fees, books, course materials, supplies and equipment, living expenses, transportation, and miscellaneous expenses.
