What is the Culture Excellence Award?

The Culture Excellence Award celebrates Galen College of Nursing employees who epitomize our Building the Lamp culture architecture core values. Employees who elevate the experience of all with whom they interact, consistently displaying the behaviors and tenets of the culture pillars, fostering organizational vibrancy and their own unique impact to our mission and vision. This award honors individuals who positively impact their colleagues, our students, and the College every day.

One recipient will be acknowledged at each campus with a Culture Impact Award. One person from that group will then be selected to receive the college-wide Kevin Cunningham Culture Excellence Award showcasing their remarkable contributions to our organizational culture.

Qualification Criteria

• Nominators:
  • Must be a Galen employee (from any campus or department)
  • May not self-nominate
  • May only nominate one person
  • Nominations are due by July 28th, 2025
• Nominees:
  • Must be a full-time Galen employee in good standing
  • May hold a position up to a Senior Director level (Associate VP or above are ineligible to be nominated)
  • Must be employed at Galen for at least 1 year as of September 30, 2025
  • Nominee’s campus must be operational for at least one year as of September 30, 2025
