Galen College of Nursing continues to expand access to nursing education in the Greater Houston area by launching its Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Bridge program at its Houston Clear Lake campus. The program begins with the October 2026 term.

The ADN Bridge program provides a streamlined pathway for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) who want to earn an Associate Degree in Nursing and become Registered Nurses (RNs). By adding the ADN Bridge program, Galen reinforces its commitment to expanding access to high-quality nursing education for Texans.

“At Galen, we’re committed to creating meaningful pathways that help nurses advance their careers while strengthening the communities they serve,” said Dr. Tracy Ortelli, president and chief academic officer of Galen College of Nursing. “Our ADN Bridge program gives licensed vocational and practical nurses in the Greater Houston area an opportunity to build on the valuable experience they already bring to patient care and take the next step toward becoming registered nurses.”

Galen opened its Houston Clear Lake campus earlier this summer at 455 E. Medical Center Blvd. in Webster. As the college’s second Greater Houston location, the campus initially offered its three-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. By adding the ADN Bridge program, Galen College of Nursing—a proud member of the HCA Healthcare family—creates even more opportunities to strengthen the healthcare workforce across Southeast Texas.
