What is the Service Excellence Award?

Staff who are nominated for this award are individuals who demonstrate exceptional skill and dedication to their roles, their peers, and the students we serve. These staff members consistently exceed performance goals, foster teamwork, and collaboration, and embody Galen’s mission through their commitment to excellence and service. They actively contribute to the success of projects and initiatives, explore new approaches, and provide high-level customer service, all while upholding Galen’s I.C.A.R.E Values.

Qualification Criteria:

Nominees must be employed full-time and in good standing
Nominees must have been employed for 1 year as of 9/30/2025
Nominees cannot be Director-level or above
If you are Director-level or above, you cannot nominate anyone
Campus must be open and operational for 1 year at the time of nomination
You can only nominate one colleague
You cannot nominate yourself

Staff of the Year Evaluation Rubric

Nominations are due by July 28th, 2025. After all the nominations are received, each campus will pick their “Staff of the Year” based on a set scoring guide. The winners from each campus will then be evaluated by the Employee Recognition Council, which selects one of them to receive From these winners, one person will be selected for the prestigious, all-Galen Staff of the Year Award.
