Galen Myrtle Beach Attends Local Student Expo

For the second consecutive year, Galen College of Nursing’s Myrtle Beach campus had the opportunity to make an impact on the lives of thousands of local school children.

Twelve members of Galen’s faculty, staff, and student body volunteered to attend the 2026 Pathway to Possibilities South Carolina expo at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The event was attended by more than 6,000 local 8th grade students, giving them the opportunity to learn about nursing and nursing school from our diverse team on site.

Galen’s booth was located in the health sciences section of the expo, and showcased an interactive game of Operation, with candy awarded to winners, and more.

“It was a good experience,” Myrtle Beach student Diana Frederick said. “There were a lot of 8th graders, and (Myrtle Beach Campus Engagement Specialist) Caitlin Morsch had set up a great game of operation to play, so it was interactive, and at the same time we got to encourage them to go to nursing school when they graduate high school.”

The P2P Expo includes hundreds of schools and businesses, giving 8th graders a great sense of the opportunities available, just as they’re starting to consider what career they want to aspire to.

We wanted to thank the 12 Galen representatives who attended the event.
