HCA Healthcare and Galen College of Nursing bring one of the nation’s largest healthcare providers and one of the largest nursing education institutions into close collaboration. This partnership plays a vital role in tackling the ongoing nursing shortage by expanding access to high-quality nursing education and increasing the number of graduates entering the workforce.

TIME recently recognized HCA Healthcare as one of the world’s most impactful companies for 2026, highlighting its commitment to addressing critical global challenges. This list evaluates 500 organizations based on how they align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, using a combination of scientific research and publicly available data. Among these leading companies, HCA Healthcare earned a ranking of No. 26.

HCA Healthcare’s impact also extends beyond education and patient care, reaching into the communities it serves. Through its annual We Show Up for Our Communities days of service initiative, colleagues across the country dedicate their time to support local needs. In 2026 alone, nearly 9,800 colleagues volunteered for more than 41,800 hours, supporting 1,866 nonprofit organizations nationwide. These efforts reflect the organization’s ongoing commitment to improving health and well-being at the community level.

In total, HCA Healthcare colleagues contributed more than 350,000 volunteer hours in 2025, supporting over 10,000 charitable organizations across the country, while many also served in leadership roles on nonprofit boards.

Together, this recognition and partnership highlight a shared commitment to making a meaningful impact on healthcare. By combining HCA Healthcare’s national reach with Galen College of Nursing’s dedication to education, the collaboration is helping to build a stronger, more sustainable nursing workforce.
