To see our full policy on readmissions, please read our Readmissions Policy found in the Student Catalogs.

Readmission decisions are made by the Program Administrator as outlined in the Readmission Policy in the Student Catalog. Decisions are individual based on the student’s prior academic history as well as the space availability at their campus and program of study. Students with questions about their readmission denial are encouraged to schedule a meeting with their campus academic leadership to discuss their personal situation.

To transfer into a different nursing program, you will still need to apply via the readmissions application if you have previously attended Galen. You will not need to apply as a new student.

Please make note of the program you would like to transfer into on your readmission application.

To transfer to another Galen campus location, please reach out to the readmissions department by sending an email to readmissions@galencollege.edu or by calling (502) 882-0900.

Galen’s requirements for clinical experiences are similar to those you will encounter in your professional nursing career. All requirements are designed to ensure continuity of patient care, as well as to protect students, healthcare providers, and patients from the manifestation and spread of diseases.

All students are required to provide proof of the required immunizations in order to participate in clinical experiences. Download Requirements.
