Frequently Asked Questions

Whether you’re new to Galen or just need a refresher, we’ve published a list of frequently asked questions to help point you in the right direction. If you don’t find what you need, please feel free to reach out to you Enrollment Counselor or Academic Advisor.

Q: Who can a student contact to request a copy of their acceptance letter?

A: You already have access to your acceptance letter!  The acceptance letters load inside of the application account you created when you applied to the program.

You can log into the account by following this link: Sign In (elluciancrmrecruit.com) . From there, you can view your Acceptance Letter on the Decision History tab at the top of the screen. The letter can be printed, if needed and it is official.

Q: When does registration open for pre-licensure students?

A: For general education classes, registration typically opens in week 4 of the quarter. For nursing classes, registration typically opens in week 8 of the quarter. Stay tuned to your Galen email for more information.

Q: What do I do if the Online Registration is not working for me?

A: First, carefully reference the instructions and ensure you follow them step-by-step. Many students skip the step of verifying the address, phone number, and emergency contact information. Contact the Campus Registrar’s Office, the On-Demand Advising team or your Academic Advisor if issues arise.

Watch this video that will provide more information on registering for nursing courses.

Q: Has my drug screen expired?

A: Drug screens do not expire unless there is a break in service. If a student completed their drug screen when they first started or when they readmitted, it still stands for when they go into clinicals.

Q: Will I be required to complete multiple Drug Screenings?

A: You will be required to complete multiple Drug screenings if there is a break in enrollment, a clinical affiliate requirement, or if approved to retest following a positive screening.

Q: What are the uniform requirements for clinicals?

A: The full clinical dress code is listed in the student catalog. For additional questions, please contact their campus clinical coordinator or their clinical instructor.

Q: Where do students go to buy scrubs?

A: Students can buy scrubs at the campus store. Students should try their scrubs on before purchasing as the sizes vary. It is recommended that students go to the store at least 45 minutes before campus closes if they want to purchase scrubs. No appointment is required. If students are looking for the store hours, they can call the campus’ main number. A Galen employee at reception can tell the student the hours.
