Online RN to BSN: Tuition & Admission

Potential career outcomes:

  • Earn a bachelor’s degree
  • Have the potential to advance your career
  • Prepare yourself to earn a graduate degree in the future

Tuition for Galen’s Online RN to BSN program is based on a per credit hour model:

  • $424 per semester credit hour

Tuition Calculations

Many people find it helpful to calculate their tuition and fees semester by semester. Since the course distribution and course loads change each semester, this gives you a more accurate prediction of your program costs.

To estimate total tuition for the program, multiply the semester credit hour of each category by the total credits the program requires in each:

  • Credit hours: 50

Your costs may be lower if you transfer in credits or receive scholarships, grants, or reimbursement from your employer. Review your financial aid options if you haven’t already done so. You can calculate either by semester or total tuition and fees based on the BSN curriculum or the current catalog.

Course Fees

Additional fees are charged per course:

  • $50 per course for technology fees

Again, you may find it more helpful to look semester-by-semester to calculate your upcoming expenses.

Additional Fees

When budgeting for your education, add an estimated $1,600 total for books plus your living expenses (like costs for housing, food, transportation, etc.) If you opt to pursue your BSN while working, include your expected earnings in your budget as income.

These fees are charged once per degree/program enrollment:

  • $50 registration fee
