Shanky Vadarevu  

Vice President of Human Resources

Shanky brings more than 25 years of global human resources leadership experience spanning healthcare, higher education, media, and government.  

She is a thoughtful and purpose-driven leader who helps organizations grow by building strong teams and ensuring HR strategies align with broader institutional goals. 

Before joining Galen, Shanky served as Vice President of HR Operations at ASRC Federal. There, she led operations strategy for more than 8,000 employees across the U.S. and internationally. Her work included guiding large-scale HR transformations, managing post-merger integrations, advancing digital modernization efforts, and elevating employee engagement. 

Earlier in her career, she held senior HR roles at WMATA, Gannett, and MedStar Health. In each of these roles, she championed enterprise-wide technology upgrades, enhanced the use of data and analytics, and improved the efficiency of HR service delivery.  

At Galen, Shanky leads the college’s overall people strategy, guiding how the organization supports its employees with a focus on culture, performance, and inclusion. She also partners with the Chief Experience Officer to strengthen leadership pipelines, boost employee engagement, and drive long-term retention. 

Shanky holds a Master of Science in Information Management Systems from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor of Law from Osmania University.
