Jim Lepianka

Vice President of Information Technology

As Vice President of Information Technology, Jim Lepianka oversees Galen’s IT strategy, budget, development, and execution. His team manages IT security, networking, enterprise applications, and classroom audio-visual technologies. Jim is deeply involved in technology strategies, including AI, Automation, DevSecOps, Student Technologies, and Identity & Access Management.

A University of Louisville graduate and a US Army veteran with three combat tours, Lepianka’s diverse industry experience provides a unique insight into emerging technologies and their potential to advance business today and in the future.

Joining Galen in 2022, Lepianka spearheaded the Student Information System project, defining processes for scalable applications and industry-leading security practices to support Galen’s growth and continuity.

Before his role at Galen, Lepianka worked at Papa John’s from 2020 to 2022, where he led the mobile apps and store technologies teams. During this time, he developed innovative solutions for customer engagement and operational efficiency, enhancing the company’s digital presence. Prior to this, Jim worked at Louisville Gas & Electric for 12 years. There, he spearheaded the development of award-winning iPad applications, transitioning the company from traditional paper methods to advanced data analytics.
