Mark Vogt

Mr. Vogt is a proven transformative leader with over 30 years of experience, dedicated to providing vision, integrity, and drive throughout Galen College of Nursing. He has served as CEO since 2004, leading one of the largest nursing colleges in the country.

Mr. Vogt’s commitment to expanding access to nursing education and passion for creating a world-class workplace culture have been instrumental. Under his guidance, the college has significantly expanded its nursing academic programs and modernized learning environments. He has also been a pioneer in creating innovative pathways for entering the nursing profession.

Honors & Awards

In 2023, Mr. Vogt was honored to be named one of Louisville’s Most Admired CEOs. This recognition highlights his dedication, innovative approach, and impactful leadership at Galen and the broader Louisville community. Mr. Vogt has set the standard that organizational culture defines how everyone acts and communicates with one another, and with Galen students.

Volunteer & Community Work

Mr. Vogt actively contributes to his local community and the national nursing profession. He serves on several volunteer boards, including the National League for Nursing Board of Governors and the National League for Nursing Foundation Board. Additionally, he is involved in their Public Policy and Finance Committees.

In his local community, Mr. Vogt serves as a board member for both the Republic Bank & Trust Company and the Louisville Healthcare CEO Council.

Educational Background

He holds a degree from Bellarmine University, located in Louisville, Kentucky.
