The Online RN to BSN program offers both synchronous (live) and asynchronous (access at any time) sessions, with a two-course-at-a-time pacing.

The Online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program is a rigorous, writing-intensive program to prepare you for educational or healthcare leadership roles. Graduate courses run asynchronously and are usually taken one course at a time.

The Online Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program prepares nurses who hold an MSN for executive or academic leadership roles. Graduate courses run asynchronously and are usually taken one course at a time.

Pre- & Post-Licensure—What’s the Difference?

“Pre-licensure” is a term for nursing programs you would enroll in before you’ve earned your license as an RN or LPN/LVN. Pre-licensure nursing programs at Galen include:

Find Your Fit: Post-Licensure Programs

If you became an RN with an associate degree in nursing, the next step in your career path as an RN is to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing. With a BSN, you can take on more specialized roles, lead, manage, and usually increase your earning potential.

The 12-16 month online BSN program is CCNE accredited. It is designed to be efficient, thorough, and flexible. You can fit classes into your existing work/life schedule or flex to keep a better balance.

Plus, you can choose from a wide range of places to work. RNs are needed in hospitals, doctor’s offices, public health clinics, telehealth, emergency rooms, secondary schools and birthing centers.

The 6-semester (36-credit-hour) online MSN program is ACEN and SACSCOC accredited. It is designed to be efficient, thorough, and flexible. Work with your advisor to fit classes into your schedule and keep a better work-life balance.

Nursing & Healthcare Leadership: Prepare to excel in leadership and management roles. Help improve healthcare systems and improve patient care outcomes.

Nurse Educator: Meet the eligibility requirements to take the Certified Nurse Educator (CNE®) examination. Then get to work transforming nursing education in academic and clinical settings.

You can choose from a wide range of places to work. RNs with graduate degrees work in hospitals, doctor’s offices, public health clinics, telehealth, emergency rooms, physician’s offices, secondary schools, and birthing centers.
